Had a productive day on the Weber today (2/15/16). They were all about the rainbow warrior in size 14-16 and of course the San Juan worm (no shocker there). They are held up in the deeper pools and the water is pretty murky, so ditch your strike indicator and euro nymph to ensure you get it to the bottom and put the fly in front of their face. Because the water is so murky, the fish weren't too spooked in the deep pockets, so don't feel rushed to move. We caught fish after fish in the same hole.
We hooked into some solid fish and had some toads on that we just couldn't get to the net. Had solid browns and whites (we aren't racist anglers), and even some native small browns and whites which is always good to see.

Thanks for the report. What stretch of the river did you fish? How was the ice?

We were right there around Henefer. There is still a lot of ice, but the pools are pretty accessible. The ice on the edges of the pools can be a little thin, so be ready to break off a chunk if you get too close. The spots where the pools aren't covered by ice is where you will find the fish piled up. We even foul hooked several because of it.
