Like it or not [

] Between Nevada, Utah and Arizona, stamps, licenses, decals for the boat, registration, insurance, etc I figure I better keep on going and commit to Idaho (unless I draw a Henry's tag). Was wondering about watercraft in Idaho and any certificates, decals, licenses and/or stamps I will need. I have had my eye on a couple places north and instead of Texas this year I'm headed to Idaho.
I want to make sure have my t's crossed first...and then I'll be that annoying guy trying to get info. I wish I had the time to explore and figure it out on my own. Trust me, I take a lot of pride in what I have learned over the years but none of that has been in Idaho. I'll be taking my knowledge of bass fishing and applying that to Idaho. I would love some advice, pm's are welcomed. Have boat, will travel.

The only thing I think you will need is an invasive speices sticker . Call 1-208-334-4197 between 8am and 5pm mst . I believe it is a little more than $20.00 .

John, since you are going up to Idaho, you really need to contact dtayboyz:

In addition to being a tournament fisherman he also fishes for sturgeon and since you are going to be there anyway, you really need to give it a try. You might already be aware of this, there are several great bass lakes just across the border.

Always welcome to help a brother out.
CJ strike is starting to turn on, we caught 2 green and 20 brown over 2 lbs yesterday and lots of fat 10 inch perch. The motel in Bruneau is closed and for sale again. The campgrounds around the lake are open.
Water temp is mid 40s

Fishing license and Invasive Decal purchased tonight online. Obviously they are going to mail me the decal but the fishing license finish page says it will not be mailed and I had the to print the license. Laptop and no printer says nope, not gonna happen. Do you guys know if they really do mail licenses? Seems silly that they wouldn't. I'm sure I can log back in and print my license on a different computer but I'm curious to know if the residents get mailed a license when you buy it online. If so, I assume I would get one also in the mail.
Have boat, GPS, long bed Duramax, sleeping bag, little bbq, cooler for beer and water oh, and food, air mattress, 1000 Honda, will travel. One, ONE! 2 pound smallie would get me on a lake here with low 40* temps but the chances are very slim. I will donate my monies to Idaho and travel on the weekends. I have spent the last couple years researching Idaho waters but there is nothing like time on the water.
It has been a very long winter and I am sooooo ready to set the hook!
Thank you all for the help.

They no longer mail the licenses and you have to print them at home. I called them this year because I never got mine either. They gave me a free coupon to get it printed out at one of the F&G offices. I think they charge $7 for a duplicate. You can always buy a Migratory Bird permit for $4.75 from a local vendor and they will print you a new license.

I'll be at brownlee the 19 & 20 th and then I have a tournament at cj on the 26th. There are nice facilities for camping below the dam, at blacks ands or cottonwood. CJ will be off limits for me 21st thru 25th.

I should have paid attention cause I used my laptop and no printer to buy my license online.
Is there a website for Idaho that you can check on water temps for various waters?

I always loved to fish the Idaho side of Bear Lake. After I moved to UT then I found out how much fun that side is too.[cool]
