Can anyone update me on the ice conditions at Mantua? Wanting to take some people ice fishing for the first time but hoping the ice is thick enough there.
Thanks

Same situation for me, so I also ask for ice conditions educated guesses for Saturday morning till noon not too far from Salt Lake County. I'm tough and conditions don't matter to me, but this will be a first ice fishing experience for a family that includes three small children and a young lady not up for harsh conditions. If it were just me this Saturday and it turns out to be a slush monster day, then I would wear waders and I have extras in my size. But, I don't have waders in children's sizes.

Options I would like to consider are:

1. Saturday morning might be a fantastic ice fishing day (best guess and which reservoir to pick recommendations are invited).

2. Higher altitude and a close reservoir?

3. Cancel and invite them to shore fishing for ice off or even warm weather with saving ice fishing for next year.

Ice condition predictions for Saturday morning are invited.

Don't know about the ice. You should be careful with the elk though. I saw a bunch of them on the ice the other day.
