I have heard that they are doing a little better at Ellis. The Pahsimoroi has 200+ fish in the hatchery so the first of the run has started to trickle in. I have not heard of many fish being caught in river code 19. Some in 18. I am also hearing that fish are being caught all the way down in Riggins still. I think the bulk of the fish should be hitting the canyon stretches below Shoup now and in the next two weeks. The canyon stretch was pretty decent these past two weekends. I am hoping that the rain in Stanley and other areas are going to blow this whole thing up before it really gets started...

Thanks! I didn't want to drive all the way to Shoup again. I'll probably give Ellis a try then.

there are fish all the way to the sawtooth hatchery. I caught two fish above ellis two weeks ago, fishing was not hot, but it was good enough to keep you casting! There were a number of fish that overwintered above salmon, and those are the fish that are arriving in stanley. It seems like the next push of fish should arrive soon.
