I had went out today for about 2 hours and had all kinds of fun. My plan was to catch anything I could find. I fished with the same 3/8oz lead head and smoke grub all day below chickamauga dam and all along the banks leading to the dam. I knew it was going to be an interesting day because I can catch anything with a grub it seems. My first fish was a long beautiful gar, 2nd a nice baby drum (5lbs) and 2 nice bass. One of the largemouth bass was about 7 to 8 pounds that got off at the boat so no pics. It was a nice day to be out to have no expectations but to catch big fish emodance .The one fish I was hoping to catch was a nice striper or hybrid but didn't get a chance. I plan on takin a trip to Carters lake with the same mind set to catch a monster and will see what will happen.
