Decided to take a day off and fish after lunch. Got on water around 2pm at CFP. Wind was howling. Fished the park and caught one good one around 3lbs. Water temp low 70s. Water was clear to stained. Shakes head was the ticket. Ran up river and fought waves Fished a cove or two. Fish were shallow and deep. Lots of small 1-2 lbs. spinnerbaits. Shakes head. Top water. Finally got a 4 + that I hooked on a shakey head. Fish rocketed out of about 5 ft. I watched it jump three times and it ran under the boat. Man that fish fought I decided to net it and got it on the second try. Water was stained temp low 70s. Surprised that a few small ones hit a top water. Fun.
