We are going up and camping at the lake on Memorial Day weekend. Where are some of the better spots to shore fish on the lake.

I will be targeting trout. If I can work it out, I will go out on my own for Bass, but I am going to be with little ones and hope I can catch a few here and there.

I have fished along the shore line east and west of the State Park PWC launch ramp, and also near the main launch ramp, in the Hailstone area.

The water is still cool, so there should be trout near shore in these areas. Good Luck!

you can catch a lot of smallies along the shoreline between the campground and the dam that time of year. I'd recommend #7 of #9 gold floating rapala or small watermelon tube jigs on a Carolina rig.
