Almost did not go. Had to work this morning, get an alarm install scheduled and follow up on a couple more. Got done at 11:30 and headed to the Nick for an afternoon outing. Got there at noon and left at 5:30. I knew for me it would be tough but with rain coming the rest of the week I wanted to hit the Nick before the rain came in. I have not been there since the last CFF on the Nick. emoScratch

It was a grind to figure them out but after a couple hours I started finding a few that wanted to play. emoThumbsup Those bass at the Nick are just greener then the ones on the Chick. Must be the water color and all the grass. The grass is really strong already on the Nick and water temps today were in the mid 70s. Mainly focused on edges and drops. All bass came right on the edges except for one a good 30 yards up in it. It took a spook!!! Love that top water bite. Boated about a dozen bass with some really nice ones for me on the Nick. I usually struggle with size there. Come to think of it, I have struggled with size this year on the Chick too. emoRedface Had a couple fours, one three and about four in the two pound range. I can only hope to do so well this weekend. Best three would have been a little over 11 lbs, best five a little over 16 lbs. emoThumbsup Hope to see you there this weekend, bring a rain suit, we are going to get wet.

Here are my two four lbers. emoTongue
