I know this is last minute, but I just found out that there is a fishing tournament tomorrow at Bear Lake. I don't really know the details, but I was told that it starts at 7 am and ends at 4 pm. If any of you are bored and want to come over to this thing there is a good chance that you can win some prize money.
I'm told that anyone that registers has their fee entered into a pot and first place wins 60% of the pot, second place wins 30% of the pot, and third lace gets 10%.
The entry fee is $50.00 for a single entry in each category
- Cutthroat/rainbow
- Mackinaw
If 2 put in for the same category it is
- $85.00
For a group of 4 people the entry fee for each category is
- $125.00
As I said, winner takes 60% of the pot, 2nd place is 30%, and 3rd place is 10%. This is for the entire pot. The tournament is non-profit with all money going back to the winning contestants.
This is a catch and release contest so anyone wishing to participate will need to stop in at Pugstones and pick up a yard stick that has a special logo on it that you will use when you take a picture of it with the fish and submit it to Darrin Pugmires phone and then he will enter it into the system.
I am posting this because this was supposed to be advertised a while ago, but someone at state parks dropped the ball and didn't post advertising for it. The contest is going to happen anyway, so this may be a good opportunity for people to join and not have too many competitors going for the prize money.
Anyway, I thought I would pass this along.
Mike
P.S.
I have no affiliation or connection to this event. I just heard about it and thought I would pass the info along
