Hello, i am going otter creek this weekend and then again in a couple weeks. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what flies I need to tie to have some luck. I have never fished it so any advise will help me out a ton. Thank you.

Your typical buggers and leeches seem to work well similar to most rainbow reservoirs around. Also, this time of year you can get some pretty good mayfly hatches if the weather is calm. I know that some also like using chironomids early in the season...

Thank you I will be trying some mayflies.

We catch them on brown/black buggers and chronomids right after ice off, then you can start picking some up on egg patterns once they do their thing...but we have success on buggers and big hares ears after that, and yes...the hatches. Good luck!

You may just hook into one of these OC monsters!

Thanks...that was a fun ice-off last year! This year was pretty good, but not nearly as good as the last 3 years IMO.
