Going there this next weekend for a couple of days.
Never fished there before. I have read as much as I can find and it looks as though we ought to be working the North West side.
We will be in the boat.
Is this where we ought to be looking or.
Going for trout not for musky.
I've also read Jakes and diver and black rapalas. Any truth to this.
I like jigs so I thought tipping jigs with chub like the Berry.

Anyway any help would be appreciated.

THANKS

The north, south, and west sides are brushy type of structure, with gently sloping bottoms. The inlets are also in these areas. The chubs seam to hang on those sides more in the shallows. The east side (dam side) Is mostly steep rocky structure to 160' deep, that side has very large boulders and deep water. Splake and Muskie can be found in all areas, Splake will go deeper as the water warms, Muskie can be hit or miss.
I haven't been up there this year , but good producing areas are generally in and around seeley cove (across from the dam) and along the rocky shores. Up near the lowery creek inlet can also be good
Good Luck
No Matter what , the scenery there is great.

Thanks that helps a lot.
I'm not a muskie guy but from what I've read and heard about them it sounds as though this should be a good res. for em.
If we are able to we will load up some of the chubs. Sometimes they are a bit tough to come by.

Thanks
