A buddy and I fished Cleveland today from our tubes. We were using both medium and fast sinking lines and size 6-8 buggers, and soft hackles. We caught all rainbows from 15" to 20" long. The water temperature was 44-47 degrees and the visibility in the water of about 3'. The reservoir is 71% full and rising. Almost all of the fish were caught within casting distance from shore so you don't need to be out on the reservoir to catch fish. That will change when the water starts warming up but that will be awhile with all the snow that is left to come down.
Before anyone asks, we didn't drive up the road to see if the ice was off Mammoth yet. We heard there is enough open shore line for bank anglers though.[]
