Hey everyone, I'm hoping to get off work a little early tomorrow and was thinking about heading up to Porcupine, probably the best option this weekend to get away from humanity. Any luck up there? Went a few weeks ago with some interest but nothing to the boat. Am I wasting my time heading up there around 2-3? Thanks for any info. Be safe out there!

I've been curious to see if anyone is catching kokes yet. So far when I went a few weeks ago there were some Koke schools around but no takers. Did manage one brown while vertical jigging. Mostly by accident I think although it was neat to see my jig at 50 ft, see a fish come across the screen at 40 ft, reel up 5 cranks, jig a bit, and see the line go slack as the jig was dropping. Quick hook set and it was on! It was a bleeder so I had to keep it.

I have trolled the lake twice this month with no success on kokes. I am new to kokes fishing though.

Never made it up there, but took the family to Hyrum for a quickie today. Surprisingly it wasn't to crowded early afternoon while we were there. The boy caught his very first fish, and it wasn't bad size! It was a good fighter, I was waiting for either the rod and reel to fly into the water or disintegrate into pieces. Luckily neither happened at it was a success! The best thing about Hyrum right here, little ones can catch fish! He wanted to take it home and eat it, so we did. I didn't do too bad myself, I pulled one of the bigger fish I've ever got in that lake. We let that one go to grow. Good times.
