I got out early and fished the North marina this morning and the northeast corner. My goal was Crappie this morning and I managed one slab 12" fish. I had another on and lost him. After that I caught one kitty after another on a jighead with a Gulp curly tail. I landed 9 cats all around 20" while fishing flooded brush for crappie.
I had a good time with the cats but didnt keep any today. They really did a numbet on my jigheads though.

I strongly suspect the crappie are done and the cats are muscling in for their turn at spawning grounds.

If so its time to get the new Yak up to Pineview for miniature versions of spawning crappie.
