I&#39;ve been absent from the forum lately but dropped in to catch up on some reports. I hadn&#39;t planned on making a report but noticed crappie reports were &quot;few&quot; lately so I thought I would post a short one from Saturday afternoon.<br /><br />We fished out of the pontoon and caught about forty crappie and took nineteen home. We caught them offshore mostly on minnows on or near the bottom in 17-18 feet. A lot of big boats making big waves but we hung in there. We caught six species total including some small bass and a nice little smallmouth. My best crappie was a 14-inch white crappie. It was released.
