Can anyone tell me what is happening at Matt Warner?
Going to try it this weekend.

I haven't been there yet this year, but I've heard it's producing well. No shortage of pressure.

There was a scout camp up there a few weeks ago. The boys did fair with most catching a fish. I agree with Nate, there is no shortage of pressure from other anglers.

The other lakes in the area are good options to hit up. Calder was stocked with 900 22" trout after the winter kill.

OK, Just a report on our trip to Matt Warner. Sorry I can't write with the great skill and humor as some on this site so you just get the facts. Got there about 8:00 AM. We were a number of 3. Started fishing with a worm and marshmallow. Got one nice one right off thought OK its going to be great. By 1:30 we had landed 6 total. That's 16 1/2 fishing hours for 6 fish. A 4 hr. trip there 4 hr. trip home. See 15 head of Elk on the way home and countless deer. Oh how I love these outings and the $50 dollar a pound fish. Isn't life great? Thinking next about Blackfoot Res. in Idaho. Anyone give me info about fishing there?

Sorry your trip wasn't to your hopes and expectations. Welcome to the world of fishing -- fantastic one day, worthless the next. That's why I like to try to have back up water nearby on those longer trips to salvage the trip when one place stinks.
