Hit UL last night 9 pm to 3 am with my grandson, both catching 6 or 7 nice cats each,18 to 25 inch's .
We quit fishing because we ran out of room in our cooler.
Carp was the bait of chose.
We also caught 6 or 7 mud cats.
Great fun night spent with the grandson.

Wow, nice haul Gripy. Were they spawned out fish or did they still have eggs in them? Just curious if they were getting close.

Good report and nice pics!
In your last pics, I can't believe the battle scars on those two fish.....they're getting in the mood!

Your last trip was out of AF? How is the water level? At least 2 to 3 feet ? I'm hoping to make a trip to UL next weekend if Brian's Canvas finishes my new cover Friday. Last year when I went it was just barely enough water to get out of the AF marina, and not more than 6 feet anywhere we went that day. We still did pretty good out in the AF River inlet area. A couple 23-24 inchers, and then a couple nice Walleyes. Want to try it again. Of course, I won't be posting any UL Cats for the contest, but would like to boat a few of those bruisers.

Thanks Gripy for any info.

I can see guys fishing out 40 50 yards from the mouth of the river and the water is just above there knees.
I'm fishing from shore and my long cast with 9 foot poles is not putting me in much more then 2 feet using a bobber.
I talked to a guy at the ramp just coming in and his prop was hammered, I watched a boat being towed in and after dropping the tow rope he had to run high rpms to get to the ramp.
Just be careful out there the depth can change in a hurry.
Props aren't cheap.

OK, that answers my question, Thanks ! I don't believe I'm going to make that trip this year unless UL gets a lot more water in it.

Appreciate the info. [fishin]

[#0000FF]Lindon is a short distance away from AF and the water inside the harbor was a minimum of 2.5 feet all the way out last week. Good fishing too.

Let me know if you'd like my package on Lindon. Of course I can PM some private info on current conditions too.
