At the last minute buddy & I entered & fished the 3rd annual Maniac Custom Lures Tourney at Walcott last Sat. 17 boats, most of which had been there days before or consecutive weekends. We were newbies & lucky to locate the ramp in the 5am dawn. Top two finishers had 20+ and we snuck a 3rd with the best of four boats that had 18+. Well-organized & well-run & even fed us afterwards. You fish with ONLY Maniac plastics --- no hair jigs, no spins, no cranks --- using only your terminal tackle. Big Fish was 5+. Lots of 18"ers caught. Water temp from 62-68. Hats off to James Bradshaw & his Maniac crew. Enjoyed it immensely. We'll be back.

Looks like you did very well for yourself considering you had no pre-fishing in! I wanted to fish that tournament so bad this year but I had already bought tickets to a concert for my wife for that day back in December... [mad]
