I got to say that the weather being as hot as it is the fish are still cooperating and this was surprising considering that we had no wind and no current, and yes throw HOT in the equation and you have all the ingredients for a slow day. I was proved wrong right off the bat. I had a couple of gentlemen here from Miss. that wanted to catch a few fish and celebrate their Dads birthday. We started out with Choo Choo Lures Rocker Jigs along river edges instead of early topwater, and found out quick it was the right move because of the fish being aggressive early. We were also able to catch these fish even on up in the day with the same pattern, so with no wind and no current the fish showed up and put on a show for these guys. At the end of the day one of the gentlemen wanted to make one "last cast", and a solid 4 lbr. made an end for a great morning on the water. I have to say I just don't see the need to hold up "multiple fish" for a "multiple fish pic", especially this time of year. The weather is hot, the water is hot, and these 2 ingredients just don't go well together this time of year for the fish. We now have some positive results from our meeting and things are looking great for the furure of this lake, and riding fish around in our livewells all day and not being in a tournament, for no reason except just to get a good "multiple fish pic" is something I can't understand, it goes against everything we are trying to do to help the lake. But to each his own as they say, this is just one guides opinion for what it's worth. Catch a "good-un", take a pic, and put it back. Just plain ole 'have fun"! Mike Carter
