Well are week started slow but after talking to a few guys it got better. We arrived on Sunday and fish the afternoon around the nuke plant. The bite was great. Had three just over five and a bunch of 2-3 pounders. So we thought this week will be great (wrong). Monday and Tuesday where very slow. Only boated a hand full of fish each day. We soon learned the night bite was the key to success. So we loaded up on spinnerbaits and chatter baits from Soddy custom tackle. We fishe from 8:00pm to 7:30 am each night for the rest of the week. No boat traffic and less heat. It was so nice. We had six fish just over 7lbs and a lot between 2-6 lbs. we fished shallow grass humps and banks around the islands just slow rolling both baits. The best bite was from midnight to four am. Then the top water bite was on from daylight to 7:30 on a spook. We had a great week. I'd also like to thank mark and Brad at Soddy tackle for sending us in the right direction.
