We made the fateful decision to hit the lake Sunday evening for a few hours. We started out of Chester Frost amidst what seemed like a thousand boats and ran upriver. Caught 14 fish in a little over three hours before deciding it was time to run back to CFP, navigate the boats and get out of dodge before all of those watching fireworks did. Caught fish in 2-10 feet of water on topwaters (including a double on a popper bait), creature baits, worms, and crankbaits. Leaving was a slo-go so I sat in the back of the boat while Dusty sat in traffic cleaning up.
