Today I fished with Larry & Doug (in Larry's Ranger). We put in about 6:30 and fished until 12:00. We fished mostly water 1 - 10 ft. deep, fished with worms for the most part, some smaller black plastic worms and other Magnum worms. Best I can remember we caught 12-15 bass and it seemed as long as we were in some grass we would get bit, fish were just scattered out. I did have on a really big bass but it didn't make it to the boat, saw the big head and mouth, probably 8-10 lb bass and the worm hook was not even thru the worm, the bass kept holding onto the shakey head the whole time. I have had that happen probably a dozen times this year alone.
Water temp was 85 when we started and I'm sure closer to 90 when we finished. I know the heat index was 101 when I headed home. Saw Ben Hayes at the HBSP ramp and he had just finished a good day guiding an older couple for bass.
