Wow....we pull up to our first spot and 30 min later mike hollers for the net " i mean get the emoBadLanguage net" 7lb 8oz by my scales emoToast , we are thinking heck yea, this could be our night...Right....the wind is blowing like i haven't seen in a while and i'm trying to keep the boat in position no way we give into the wind and let it blow us around for a few minutes.. but it never rained on us we could see lighting off in the distance, guess we got lucky. finally we make a move to another spot and mike catches a nice crappie on a drop shot nice fish just wrong species. all i'm catching at this point are slicks emoScratch , we make another move to a long point and mike hooks up again with our 2nd keeper. In the mean time the big fish dies, we had ice in live well aerators on and rejuvenate in there as well emoBang . i don't carry a needle to "fizz" a fish but i will have one in the boat for the next TX. We get to the scales and Mike large fish was 7.60 and then we loose a pound..so another TX where i get net practice and a-lot of casting practice. this is the 2nd or 3rd TX in a row where we are 1 fish away..over all a fun time was had and its always good talking to and meeting the members. congrats to the winners and the almost winners. by the way i personally like the earlier blast off (7:30 -7:45). hope to see everyone at the next one.
