Good job. What were you using for the walleye?

A perch colored bouncer with a night crawler .8 to 1 mph

What you didn't want to lip the walleye for a pic? [Wink]

I would need a few more calluses to lip a walleye

When I caught a walleye one day it was the first one my friend had ever seen so he lipped it to get it out of the water.

His thumb bleed for about ten minutes and he cussed for another ten minutes before calming down.

Needless to say it only took him once to learn that lesson.

[#0000FF]Those sharp gill plates can slice the heck out of you too. Walleyes are a great weight loss program.

That was a very timely report -- I was just thinking today about seriously planning a trip up there to bottom bounce for walleyes, one of my favorite ways to fish. That's a nice largemouth.

What are you guys using? I thought Deer creek was dead. Last week I went and only caught a trout and a perch, and Tuesday morning I spent 5 hours fishing around the island and up the shore towards the former Charleston using everything from jigs to worms to senkos to spinners, etc etc. To no avail. Any advice?
