Hello,

I have only ever been ice fishing at Fish Lake and have never visited in the summer. I plan to go and camp a couple of nights, as well as launch my fishing boat. Would anyone be willing to share what their favorite campgrounds in the area are? I am also looking for advice for Lake Trout. I have only ever caught small ones through the ice. I don't have down riggers and thinking my lead line won't get deep enough, but I do have 2 rods rigged for trolling with leadcore. I have several rods I can jig with.

I have also never caught a Kokanee. I will be trying to catch them as well and hoping my lead core will reach them.

I will be releasing everything except for any kokanee I might find =)

Is camping only allowed in established campgrounds in this area?

Can't help you on the camping question but since the kokes were just introduced into Fish lake this year, you might be better off waiting till next year to fish for them there:

You can indeed reach the kokes with your lead core like but you will likely need to put out 5 to 7 colors to reach them this time of the year.
