First night back on the water since getting some advice from a few guys here on the CFF. Put in at HB around 1 AM and headed down river a bit throwing short arm spinnerbait called the Jolt. About an hour in had a nice 2-3 lber slam it in 9-10 ft. of water near the main channel. Went to lip it and came unbuttoned but at least I got to see it and my daughter got a wake up splash from the fight...hehehe!! Did try some big plastic worms and topwater but unfortunately the one fish was the only offer. Stayed til around 7:45 to partake and hopefully enjoy the morning bite but to no avail. Even though I had only one bite had a great time with my daughter in between her naps...lol....(she told me it felt like she was getting to camp sleeping under the stars and all).I thought it was awesome....memories made to last a lifetime. Also gained some confidence on the Chick at night. <br />
