This weekend I will be in park city with my wife's family and my 15 nephews (all under the age of 12[:|]) and we were thinking it could be fun to go do some fishing at Jordanelle. I have not fished there sense I was probably 18 and was wondering if any one has any advice where I could catch alot of fish. I am not looking for anything huge but if I could get into the hoards of "stunted" smallies that I keep hearing about I am sure my nephews wouldn't mind smaller fish. I will have my boat with me so we will not be limited to the shore. Any direction would be appreciated.
Thank you

Somewhere besides Jordanelle. [

Haven't seen anything but negative reports about the fishing there.

My brother and I fished Jordanelle last Friday and it was tough fishing. We only caught a handful of SMB. If you're looking to get into some fish, I don't think Jordanelle is the ticket. Good luck!

Thanks for the heads up. All i hear about joranelle is that there are too many bass so i thought that might equate to fast fishing. maybe we will head up to the berry and catch some crawdads. It is hard to not catch thoes

You know, I wish I knew of a bluegill pond up there I could recommend, but I do not. What I would suggest is a trip to the Deer Valley ponds. They are close, kids can run all over if the fishing isn't great, they are right next to town and they are full of SNITS. (Stocked Nine Inch Trout).
They are part of the community fishing ponds program.
Good enough for those under 12 years of age, easy on you, free.

Up along the Mirror Lake Hwy. can be good this time of year now that its started to cool down and the crowds have slowed down. I'd fish like Trial lake early or towards the evening. Good luck.

Jordanelle is actually great for trout, just not for bass. Go in your boat with pop gear and a worm trolling around rock cliffs and you should catch a bunch of 15 inch rainbows
