Does anyone have information on if Deer Creek will be removed from the list of infected waters?

[#0000FF]The vilegers (larvae) of quagga mussels were found on a single test in October of 2014. No adults or other evidence of the mussels have been found since. But the current policy is to keep a suspect reservoir on "the list" until no other samples have tested positive for 3 years. That likely means that we have another year of restrictions and decon.

Washing down a boat with 160 degree water is one thing. Doing so to a float tube just ain't the same. And since my lower body parts have been in the water I durn sure don't want them blasted with hot water either.

I have not launched on Deer Creek for two years and I miss it. But I hear that they are being kinda lenient on their treatment of float tubes. Wish the DMV would do the same. Over $60 per year to register my float tube...just because it has an electric motor on it. But that's another rant.

I've been to deer creek several times this year and the wash down is far less than 160 degrees.
My boat registration went from $35 to $55 to pay for it, but a shower for me is not included.

20° less than 160°. The protocol is for 140°.
