Anybody been up to electric lake? I wanna go try for some tiger trout and kokaner there. Would pop gear and a worm work for tigers? I've never caught one. And would it be same as strawberry to find the kokanee? Squids and a dodger? Any help is appreciated

Because the boat ramp is out of the water unless you have a small boat you can carry to the water you will be fishing from the shore.

Also, be aware that, statewide, anglers may not possess kokanee salmon from September 10 through November 30. (New law in 2016.)

Yep, good catch. I meant to type September 10th but somehow typed 30th.

I went there last fall (so not exactly a recent report... haha). Only caught one tiger, but I did it by making a quick DIY minnow trap from a 2 liter bottle and catching red shiners to cut up for bait. In Utah (at least in this lake) you can use minnows caught from the same body of water, you just can't transport them. Can't remember the regs exactly, I just remember carefully researching them and making sure it was legal to fish with native shiners.
No luck for kokes while I was there though. The tiger however tasted fantastic

This was the law, for awhile, when they thought that Electric Lake had mussels. Now that they have decided that it doesn't have mussels it is no longer the law. Shiners caught in Electric Lake can be used as bait on other bodies of water (dead, of course, and where bait is allowed).

Is the boat ramp completely out of the water now? We were there a couple weekends ago and saw some decent size boats launching. We were hoping to get a boat up there at least one more time before the ice came in.
