Man what a way to spend Labor Day this year! Got out around daylight and paddled around the Dayton area, managed to boat 9 or 10 all on topwater. Had a good fish blow up on the frog, three cranks later she jumped and came unbuttoned on me... Moved down the grass about 10 yards, another huge blowup. Set the hook, all going well... monster gar surfaces. Next thing I know the line goes slack and the gar swims off with my brand new frog 
Must have been one of those serrated tooth models. Not much action after that decided to head home and cut the grass. Came back out around 6:30 yesterday evening. Paddled around the nuke plant area with nothing to show until 7:45 then managed to boat 8 or 9 solid keepers on the frog. It was fast and furious but it sure is fun catching them from the yak. Hope everyone had a good weekend.
