Hello!
My name is Jared and I just joined the forum today. A little background about myself, I am 19 and have lived in Idaho all my life. I have been fishing for 12 years since I was 7. I was a fishing instructor for a BSA scout camp for two years and I have a LOT of experience fishing.
I came to this forum because I want to share my knowledge and stories with other people and I want to help people by giving tips on freshwater fishing if they need it.
Anyway, that is all I can think about at the moment.

Welcome to the site Jared, have you found the Idaho board yet? What part of Idaho are you from?

Hello!
I have found the Idaho board, I actually replied to some posts in there already!
I am from the Coeur D' Alene Area in the Panhandle Region. A LOT of good fishing spots up here! Thanks for the welcome!

OK, I did not see any of your post on the Idaho board, just the Trout and Salmon board. Here is a link to the Idaho board:

The Coeur D' Alene lake area is very nice, I use to drive by it on my way to Spokane Wash. I always wanted to stop andfish there but never had the time.

Hello!
Sorry, I am still trying to find my way around the forum. I thought I posted on the Idaho forum. I must have been mistaken. Sorry about that!

No big deal, BFT has so many boards its hard for most new members to find their way down to the State boards with all the other boards above.

Welcome to BFT!

Welcome to BFT. You are in the heart of much of the good fishing that Idaho has to offer. So many lakes and tributaries are there that it provides many species to target.
I used to live in the South East area but I did fish all over the state. [cool]

Hello!
Yeah, this is a great place to live and fish. Yesterday I found a place where kokanee are VERY plentiful and I caught five in a small creek on salmon eggs yesterday and one today. The limit up here is 15 a day, by the way. Is there a way of posting pictures and videos on this forum?
By the way, when I worked up at Camp Easton with BSA as a fishing instructor, they called me "The Sturgeon General," after they heard the story of my biggest fish, a 46 1/4" white sturgeon I pulled out of the Columbia river in Oregon back when I was younger, and back then the regulations said that they needed to be between 36" and 56" to keep! I was lucky!
I also do saltwater crabbing and fishing occasionally when I visit my Grandparents near the coast of Oregon.
Thanks for all the welcomes!

Here is a link to explain how to post pics
Some of the methods only work on windows 7 or lower.
You can still use the "Inline" feature which provides a link to your pick which must be uploaded here.
I believe you are almost to the point where you can post a link to a youtube video. At 10 posts on up it is allowed.
As far as the Kokes go, We used to use the Swedish Pimple lure, the red Mepps and even use the glow bug fly patterns while fly fishing. Salmon egg varieties work well especially during the spawn. [cool]

No problem Steve, we have all done that before.

My mind was on fishing but half way around the world. I was just leaving Sri Lanka when I sent that message. Finally made it back home. [cool]

Wow, I bet that was a long flight, glad you made it home safe.

Thank you. It was rather long but there was plenty of time to nap.[cool]
