After my poor showing this past weekend on the Chick during the CFF Classic I was not really all that much excited about getting back on the water. But just like falling off a horse you got to climb back on and try again. It is still a struggle for me. I have a hard time finding quality this time of year. The frog bite for me has just about been zero. My deep bite has died and the grass in most places is way to thick to fish. Today was better then the CFF Classic but it did not take much to beat that day for me. I boated 12 bass today. Out of the 12 I only had four that would keep. Only one of those four were picture worthy. It was 6 pounds and 4 ozes. She took a shakey off a deep grass point drop. The other three keepers were just 15 to 16 inchers so I had about 12 and a half pounds with my four keepers. It is just tough right now. I had one other of the keepers on a shakey, one on a crank and one on a spook. I just could not get the fifth keeper in the boat. I did loose another pretty good looking fish I saw that jumped twice and threw the hook, it looked to be in the three pound range. One other I had loaded up on a jig and felt pretty good but came off with just one turn of the reel. emoBang

Nice to be on the water with a little cool this morning. I actually put on a long sleeve shirt. emoSmile There were a ton of boats on the water today, you would have thought it was the weekend. Just about every mat had a boat or two on it. I only saw one other boat catch a fish so I'm pretty sure there were a lot of folks today that struggled. Don't know what it will take to win the CBA Saturday, but usually someone in that bunch will get on them. emoWorthy Jmax
