Water temps are now in upper 50s on the surface. Fun and interesting day out on the float tube. I caught brown trout, rainbows, smallmouth bass, a perch, and a couple of crappie. The panfish were in 50 ft of water and the trout and bass were in 15-25 ft of water. The biggest crappie was a 13 inch hawg, like the ones you find in Willard Bay during the spring. No walleyes to be found. I guess they didn't get the memo that I was looking for them. Started the day around 6ish and left at ten this morning. The brown caught on a rapala and the rest on jigs.

Nice report, did you have a windy, cold day? Not many people on the water now. I'm getting ready for about two weeks from now. Would like to do the same as you have, a few of each.
I think the island launch is closed, how was the water level at the state Park ramp?

I didn't launch from the main state park so I don't know the water level. It was a cold morning and not much wind.

Very nice, that's the one thing I liked about deer creek, a lot a species.
I once caught 7 species from deer creek. Walleye, perch, smallmouth, largemouth, brown, rainbow and carp. that was quite a while ago when I used to fish all night in Julys full moons. It's nice to see the crappie have some size to them.
