We decided to try something different for us this weekend. I am normally just a Saturday morning fisherman due to work and other commitments. But we decided to head to the lake Friday afternoon and see if the bite was any better before or after dark.

Ran up near nuke plant and tossed a frog around. Had a few blow up and even one got the line tight before it vanished. Moved around a few places and saw activity around the grass but pretty much nothing wanted our baits. My partner started throwing a worm around the edges of the grass and managed to get one to take it about 2-1/2 lbs

We fished our way back to CFP after dark trying points, creek bends, underwater humps and more grass. Nothing. Got two short strikes right on the docks at CFP before we loaded up.

Pretty much had the lake to ourselves. Parking lot had three trailers in it.

So my night fishing skills are about equal with my day skills. Both equally bad.

Beautiful sunset though.

Greg
