Having never fished Lake Powell I was hoping someone might point me in the right direction as to where near Bullfrog might be a good spot to camp and launch a fishing kayak. I'd like to target Crappie but am open to trying for Stripers as well. Thinking about heading down from Northern Utah after my first grandchild is born in early November! Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

head down to the Stanton primitive area. Camp on the beach, and fish all the coves.

Stanton creek is a good place to camp next to the water, good restrooms. You can launch your canoes, kayaks. But the road can be rough for campers. You can find fish there but those canyons have no brush, and crappies will be few. In the spring I found them at the very backs of the canyons, but not very many. Brush is the secret. Check the lattes report form wayneswords. He will post a weekly report if his problems online are fixed.
