Fished the berry from 7am to 5:30pm on Saturday 10/22. One of the slowest fishing days I can remember. Usually we'll have caught a few cutties in the early hours but we couldn't find any this time. Started at haws point. Nothing. Went to renegade. A few hits but nothing hooked. By 9:30 we decided to try the narrows. Finally around 10 we hooked up 2 21inch cutties almost simultaneously. The narrows was the place to be. The fish were near the bank and we were out of the strong winds. The bigger cutthroats were slamming the white tube jigs tipped with worms. Caught only a couple small rainbows with a lucky craft minnow. By 4pm we were ready to call it a day but we weren't satisfied so we tried haws point one last time. Surprisingly, the fish were about 100 yards from shore and we found a sweet spot we kept going back for and we would usually have 2 fish on at a time. Great way to end the day! Hoping to get back up there soon.
