I was wondering if there is anyone out there that is using a Humminbird 35 flasher? And how do you like it? I am looking to get a flasher and not break the bank. I do have a fish finder but after seeing that and a flasher side by side I have decided to switch over.
I just wanted to see if they are worth the price of if I should spend the extra $$$$ to upgrade to the 45 or 55.
Thank you.

I have a Humminbird 385 ci and love it. Has everything I need including, flasher, bottom zoom, dual frequency transducer and gps. It also accepts lake mapping chips. I use on it on the ice and with a different transducer setup on my boat. For my money it was the best thing going. Not sure if they still make that model but check it out if they have it or a replacement model.

I've used a 35 (my first and only flasher/finder) for a couple of years. It is reliable and easy to use. It is easy to see fish coming to your jig(s). Seems like a good entry level flasher. Good luck with your decision!

I use the Ice 55 (as well as the Vex FLX28 and a Vex FL18)......but the Humminbird Ice 55 was my first flasher and I love it.
When I was looking at the difference between the 35, 45, and 55 I liked the 45 and 55 better because it gave me the digital depth in the middle of the unit. Love that feature. And when deciding between the 45 and the 55 .....I had a few extra Cabelas points so I sprang for the 55 and its totally non-essential extra features.....which I don't think I ever use. Again...I only bumped to the 55 because I was getting it for free with Cabela's points.
Either way, I have had a lot of fun and success with the Humminbird. Easy to use and easy to understand. I have fished with several other flashers going in the same area and have not had any problems running into interference with the other units.
I typically fish two holes about 8ft apart. Once with the 55 and one with the Vex FLX28. No problems at all.

I have the ice 55 and love it. Have used a Marcum showdown. The hummingbird in my eyes is a lot better. Just feel like I'm getting only half the package with the showdown. I know the bird 55 is not the top of the totem pole anymore. But works and is dependable. I have used on the ice with tons of people around. And the guys with the Marcums and vexlars complain about the interference. I have never had a issue with that. I think it's a good place to start.

I have the Ice 35 and I don't ever plan on buying anything different. It marks my bait and the fish perfectly. Fits in the bottom of a bucket, and the flasher is easy to see during all times of the day. I know other flashers have some advanced features but, to me that's just fluff. Maybe I'm just a simple fisherman but, it does the trick. Great buy for the price.

[#800000]ANY flasher will get you more fish. Brand loyalty is exactly the same as it is for trucks (Chevy, Ford, Ram). They will ALL get the job done. I have a Vexilar FLx28 and wouldn't trade it for a Marcum or a Humminbird because it works for me and I catch my share of fish. Buy what you can afford and don't look back. Tight lines to you and good luck on the ice.[/#800000]
