Spent the afternoon at Willard. Only fish caught was the skunk buster perch below. A little wind er so I mostly fished inside the north marina. Several other fish on and another nice perch came unbuttoned at the boat. South half of the marina is covered with a skim of ice.

It sure is strange how the perch always show up late in the year like this. How deep was the water you caught it in?

I hadn't seen a perch until the middle of October. This one was in eight feet of water. Caught on a fire tiger rap,

You caught it trolling? In the marina? Wow, thats impressive, didn't think it was deep enough in there. I figured you were vertical jigging.

I'd been trolling north of the marina. When I came back in, I dropped an anchor and jigged. After a while with no luck, I picked up the rod with the fire tiger rap and tossed it. On the first throw I picked up the perch and then had several hits on it later.

Very nice perch. I don't think I have ever pulled a perch out of there.
