I know the Division reports catchable numbers of Crappie in East Canyon res, I was hoping to find out if any BFT guys have had ice fishing success on them. I'm getting a state park pass for 2017 and if I can fish another spot for Crappie, day or night, I'm all for it.

Any first hand tips on East Canyon would be great, thanks.
See you all at Pineview if it ever locks up. I hunted there two days ago and there wasn't a bit of ice.[mad]

I've only ever caught them in the spring time never really tempted to ice fish that lake in the winter except for a tournament.

I'd be guessing theyres only a small population of them in the lake because I only manage a hand full or 2 each year.

I have spent a lot of time trying to get them through the ice in the past with no luck they move around and when we did locate them they would be plagued with lock jaw [mad] Pineview is your best choice to actually catch some good luck [fishon]

This time of the year follow the general rule, crappie head for the deep water in the middle of the lake. Do you know what the water temperature is?
