Its been a while since ive made a post. Ive been working and hunting too much and not fishing enough. missed the whole ice season last year and was able to fly fish a little since then... on to the report. I parked on the west side, north or the ramp. hiked out to the middle and started drilling holes in about 18ft. saw fish on the bottom on the finder but couldn't get them to bite. moved my way south east towards the other 20 groups I saw out there. started catching bow closer to the shallows. biggest being 14 and decent looking eater so I kept it. turned out to be a white meat dirt fish. stomach full of snails. on the way back I check all the holes I drilled but didn't start catching perch til I got closer to the west side. a huge 5 + 7"er then a 5" blue gill. that's it from 9-5. SLOW! for me at least. Ice measured at least 4" everywhere I was and solid clear with a dusting of snow. there was some water coming through the ice about 100yards from the where I entered the lake on the west side.

Thanks for the report, I think we all had similar luck. No skunk but slow fishing. Thanks J

Nice report.
Slow everywhere, but at least people aren't getting skunked. The fish there are picky and I think it's from the pressure that pond gets on a regular basis. I've had most of my success by getting away from the crowds (a.k.a. the small cities that show up on weekends).
Good luck next time!

Thanks.. i stayed at least 100yards from anyone. And stayed away from old holes. Fish were on the finder but not biting. Bows seemed to be more active. I know it has been getting a lot of pressure year round when people started seeing the bass, perch and gills coming out of there. Would be nice if they stopped planting those nasty bows in there.
