We have some that has formed, but not enough. It will all go bye bye this Sunday and Monday with the warm wind and rain unfortunately.

So it sounds like that now, it would be difficult if not impossible to launch a boat anywhere at Bear Lake and tough to fish it any other way until it either melts or freezes solid?
Thanks for your report.

The marina is mostly frozen and there are huge chunks of ice floating around in the lake. Im guessing the warmer weather and wind will blow it off....

Maybe a small aluminum boat on the east side, but not very likely right now. 3-4 days from now we will know for sure.

The warmer temps and the rain is not conducive to keeping what little ice we have there. Additionally, if the wind comes up, which there is a better chance that it will then it wont, it will all just stack up on the shore and will start all over again. Cross your fingers for cold cold cold, and no wind if you want the ice.

Mike,
What did the wind and warm do so far? Clear all the ice? It was really windy up home, so I'm pretty sure if you got that blow the ice will be all piled up on the shore... Still hoping for ice by Cisco... Later J

All the ice is gone. There is a twenty foot band of ice pieces on the east side that wind is blowing around. You can launch a boat on the east side. The ramp and parking has been plowed. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the update. Guess I ought to try the boat one more trip. Wish I had it in a shed so it wasn't so snowy and iced up these days. Has anyone started catching any Cisco off the rock pile yet? I know we're still a week early but just checking. Later J

Talked to a guy that made it out yesterday after breaking up some ice. I am sure a few boats out today it should be pretty broke up. No ice floating anywhere on the lake

Thanks. I will try it in the morning.

Ciscos on the rockpile just started today. Only a few, but it will be easy limits within 2-3 days on the rockpile. The shorelines are still 6-8 days away for decent numbers worth trying to dipnet.
