Ultimate procrastination |

I believe I may have the record for "ultimate procrastination". We moved into our house on July 11, 1980, and Kathy and I both noticed that when one used the light switch closest to the doorway, in our main bathroom, that instead of turning on the light the exhaust fan turned on. We both questioned why anyone would install the switches that way (the switch, right next to that switch, and further away from the doorway turns on and off the lights).
I remember thinking, the first time that I discovered the strange way the switches were wired, that I bet that I could just take out a few screws (after shutting off the power to the switches first) and easily and quickly change the switches to the way that made more sense to both of us.
Over the years, I have forgotten that the switches are reversed and hit the fan switch, instead of the light switch, many more times than I am willing to admit. Well, I am proud to announce, that only after procrastinating 15,977 days, that I spent approximately 30 minutes (most of the time was spent finding the switch in the breaker box that shut off the power to the main bathroom) and fixed the switches, so that they work the way that they should have from when the house was constructed in 1976!
Do I have the record for procrastination?

Hit Mantua again with no luck. Weather was terrible with wind and hail.
Didn't see much graphing around either.
Water temp was just shy of 48 degrees.
Hoping the vegetation is coming back soon. I did see some growth along the west dike.
I will keep trying.

Pineview no access |

Pineview is still locked up, I drove up on 4-6-24 to check and both the port ramp and Anderson cove were locked up. I was told to my face by Sean Harwood the manager for Pineview that we would have access to the reservoir at Anderson cove year round and if there was an issue there like low water or whatever they would have access at Port.
I am asking all of you to please call or email a complaint even if you no longer go there, those of us that do especially early and late in the year need the support.

the stocking reports show that there were about 300,000 kokes they put in Blackfoot reservoir I believe 2001 or about there. I was curious if anyone has caught any out of there?. I always thought it was a reservoir too shallow for Kokanee.

I just visited with state park staff member at Hyrum, and we discussed the digital annual day use pass. He said that while they can indeed plug in the license plate number to confirm, it is not clear into the future whether such will be the case owing to rules/regs regarding use of license plates etc. He said that if you arrive and no one around, they prefer you fill out an envelope and indicate digital day use so that something is on dash. Also, that if a person shows up with just digital pass they will provide a certificate for dash so that they see that once parked. I confirmed with the main office and said that indeed discussions are going on regarding use of license plates, but that while for now parks are expected to check license plates if needed, following what was recommended at the park is recommended. I will not be surprised if we see any ties to license plates disappear into the future.
