Between getting this home here ready to sell and buying a home in AR I have neglected my fishing for a couple weeks on the Chick. It has been a while for me so I thought I would take a break and slip out today. It was slow for me but still a decent day. Got out a little late and missed the day break bite. I did not look at my watch but I think it was about 8:00. The bites were few and far between. I missed several, they seemed to be hitting it but not eating it. I managed about a dozen in the boat with two good ones I would call kickers. One was 7 lbs and 4 ozes and the other was 5 lbs and 7 ozes. emoThumbsup . I would love to have those two this weekend. Issue was I did not have much to go with them. I did loose one that looked in the 3 lbs class that came up for a look just to throw my crank back at me. emoDoh I would of had to have weighed in three small 2 pounders to finish off a limit. Might of made 20 lbs but it would have been a stretch. Still a nice day on the water.<br /><br />Water temp was 74 to 75 where I fished. The only two baits I caught fish on was a shakey and a crank. The crank bite should be getting good here soon. Nothing shallow today, all from 10 to 20 foot. Hope to see a good turn out this weekend.
