[#0000FF]The "croppy" spawn was crappy this year. There were far fewer fish and they spread out around the lake...spawning in all the flooded weed and brush newly covered by the rising water. That made them harder to find and catch.
The spawn in mostly over, but you will still be able to pick up strays here and there...by pitching small jigs around the rocks or brush...or fishing them a few feet under a bobber. But you will also catch a few wipers, walleyes and catfish on the same offerings. With the high water this year many fish will move in closer to the flooded rocks along the shoreline.
