Topwater Bass and Pike in Northern WI! - JJdubsOutdoors - 06-20-2017

Made a trip to Northern Wisconsin and got out in my Feelfree Lure 11.5 kayak for some great topwater fishing action! The bass and pike were hungry, ending up catching over 20 pike and 4 bass.
I started out tossing a topwater frog and after catching one pike and missing a few, a bigger pike decided to bite through my line. I switched over to a buzzbait and it was game on the rest of the morning!
The wind started really picking up and I ended up running out of bays and protected areas to fish so I had to call it quits for the day.

Looks like you had a great time up here in the Northwoods! I normally fish bass, but pike are fun to catch, too. Beats no bites all day, for sure!

Thanks! I make it up to the Rice Lake area quite often. Will be up again for the next 5 days. I was targeting bass, unfortunately most of the time those slimy buggers got to my bait first. Still fun though!

That's awesome! I occasionally get over that way and have fished a few tournaments over there. I'm more in the center part of the state -but that's a great area to fish. I'm sure you'll have an awesome time!
