Not so good day at Strawberry - Lunder - 07-28-2017 07-27-2017. No sooner started trolling and my buddiy's Kokanee rod flew off the back of the boat in 80 feet of water. $$$. Oops. Trolled until 11:00. Only Hooked a few cutthroats and and only one Kokanee. Tried different speeds, colors, and depths. What worked well before was not effective today. Tried to start the main motor but it acted like the battery was dead yet the motor lifted, down riggers worked. ??? Came in my n the kicker motor. After a couple hours trying to figure it out at home I discovered the little safety switch by the ignition switch was in the off position. The same little boat gremlin that threw my buddy's rod off the boat must have flipped that #%*# switch. Other than that, it was a beautiful day to be fishing. And I heard they were catching at 50' [signature] Re: [Kokekiller59] Not so good day at Strawberry - Lunder - 07-29-2017 I was seeing them scattered from 30-45 feet. The water temp didn't drop below 55 degrees until 45 feet. I caught a nice 3.15 pounder at 50 feet last Friday. I'm still trying to figure it out but far from giving up. So should have got out of conform zone and dropped down lower. Caught several nice cuts high end of slot range at 42 feet.. Congrats on the big one nothing like that for me this year yet. We'll back on Sunday. [signature] Re: [Lunder] Not so good day at Strawberry - liketrolling - 07-29-2017 [quote Lunder]I was seeing them scattered from 30-45 feet.
