Today, Equifax announced that they discovered a security breach. If you have applied for any loans, have a credit card or are alive you are likely at risk. They are offering free identity theft monitoring to everyone who wants it.

I read about that last night. I have worked hard to keep my credit perfect so I hope it doesn't affect me. It makes you wonder how often things like this happen that we never know about. The massive numbers of people affected exposed this one.

I have been warned to be sure to read the fine print for the rights one is giving up if they sign up for their "free" identity theft monitoring service.
