Going to Willard Bay - need2getoutmore - 09-17-2017 Recently picked up a canoe and I'm looking at hitting Willard bay later this week after work. It wouldn't be until around 1 or 2 or so. It's been forever since I've done anything outside of powerbait and worms off the shore. What suggestions would you have on lures, location, is that a bad time of day to go out? Go slow and drag a 3 inch gulp minnow (chartruese or black shad have been working good) tipped with a little night crawler. Cat fish have been eating them up. When you find some, work back and forth through the area. Make sure you have a life jacket. $175 fine. I really want to branch out and do something besides shore fishing with powerbait and worms. Pat shared his knowledge and significantly cut down my learning curve. When TD talks, I listen. [signature] |
