bricknbass, CFF 2017 CLASSIC 1st place, BASS, Day 1 & 2, BillyC - FishNews - 10-20-2017 Day #1. Chickamauga. Made a good run north to a set of fish that we had been following for months seems like and they were there but as it some times goes would not touch anything nothing so we left and on to the next set of fish and they were hungry only problem most were 14" 7/8. Billy had one on when it jumped it threw the bait , that was around 4lbs but those were the only Fish of the day. Ran around and nothing no where. Very very frustrating ended up with 6.87lbs figured we might of blew it. <br /><br />After weight in the was some dock talk. Billy and I knew there was only one way to redeem a devastating tx my boats to slow and his won't hold enough gas I asked a favor from a long time friend and even more mentor in life and fishing Gary Hughes (dd22) may I borrow your boat and of course he said why of course <br /><br />Day#2. Nickajack <br />Boy I thought the fog was gonna be bad coming down the road but it held off till blast off. And off we went on the run far north. After a friendly race we arrived and the fishing begun we caught Fish of all kinds. White bass flathead sauger as time went on we start our way hitting spots along the way catching Fish and picking up decent culls along the way. The time came to get back but Billy just had to throw the frog for a minute just to see and low and behold a baby bass just had to choke it's self. Thought that might be a bad sign. We ended up with 18.02 lbs with a combined weight of 24.89lbs with big spotted bass of 2.48lbs. Good enough for 1St place and big spot. <br /><br />I would like to thank all of the tx committee for another good year as always didn't mind the hick ups that's just life in general. And another big thanks to Gary . See yall on the water!<br />
