New to Board - taggmon - 12-09-2017 Hi everyone. I live in Las Vegas but I have been fishing Southern Utah for over 28 yrs. I love all kind of fishing but have really gotten back into ice fishing the last 6 yrs. I do fish a lot for stripers at mead and willow beach. As for Utah I do fish a lot in Utah for trout but I do prefer the kokanee and different warm water species that are available. My preferred fishing is trolling or casting lures. [signature] Re: [taggmon] New to Board - wiperhunter2 - 12-09-2017 Good to know, where do you fish for Kokanee, must be a long drive from NV? Have you ever fished for Walleye? [signature] Re: [wiperhunter2] New to Board - taggmon - 12-10-2017 Kokanee at Fish lake and Arrow Rock res. in Idaho. When I lived in Vermont growing up we fished the Conn. River for walleyes right after the ice breaks up. A lot of perch, pike and peckerel through the ice back then. I have gotten bored with trout out here so been expanding furth from Vegas to catch different species. Not a lot of activity on our Nevada board but we do get a few members posting during the Spring, Summer and Fall. You should give a shout out there, in years past members would post about catching big striper in the Fall and Winter or I could move this post there if you like? [signature] |
